Norman Van Aken is what I call a “Chef’s Chef” as he is held in the highest esteem of chef’s such as Emeril Lagasse and is not only a James Beard award winning chef but actually sits on the board! Known as the Father of New World Cuisine, he is executive chef of Normans at the Ritz Carleton and the new Tuyo which sits atop Miami Culinary Institute.
At HSN, I have enjoyed working with him on his demonstration development as well as his on-air sales and demo techniques for Command Performance cookware. How he fits in the time to come to HSN is a mystery to me but I’m glad he does because he is an absolute pleasure to work with!
